As you may know by now, I am infatuated with the cultures, faiths, and arts of Asia. I have always wanted a painted Tibetan cabinet, but am saddened by the occupation and worldwide export of Tibetan culture. I could not bring myself to purchase something that may have been taken from a family - or sold as a last resort to make it in an occupied territory. So - I decided to paint one myself...
I have always had a profound love and respect for the beauty and cultures of Asia. I also love trying my hand at all sorts of mediums - anything to express my creative side. :-) It drives a creative person like myself crazy, but I work full time in the high tech industry. I also have Fibromyalgia, but I don't let it get in the way of leading a full and happy life. My theory is - if Life throws you lemons, add tequila, triple sec, and and have a party! :-) I am positive, open minded, and welcome all cultures, faiths, and ideas - as long as they do not infringe on someone else.
My work is also available at the Portland Classical Chinese Garden gift shop in Oregon.
I am also working on a fictional novel about a medical evacuation helicopter crew in the Vietnam War as well as a pencil portrait series of the dedicated U.S. servicemen and women of that era.

Beautiful job Wendy! I love the colors & symmetry in the painting. It is a really bold piece, you should be very proud of this :)
That is so beautifully done! I am in awe.
THANKS Chucka and Sewlutions! :-)
